Every now and then you find a tool that just works. It doesn't draw attention to itself, it doesn't make any claims that it can't back up, it just does what it's supposed to do and is content to be put away until called on again.
 
Compatible with virtually any chain you can throw at it*, the 1647 features a sturdy pin complete with ball bearing. The bearing helps to ensure the chain pin is driven straight every time. We still include a shelf to loosen stuck pins. Why the other brands have done away with that is something we'll never figure out.
